Earthworks and Civil Services

Earthworks and Civil Services Tender Template

$324.50

Your plant is maintained, your operators are experienced and you can move dirt to level and on program. What stops you getting onto the civil panel is a submission that asks about traffic management plans, sediment controls, dilapidation surveys and stakeholder notification, and gives you thirty pages to prove it. This template already has those sections written and waiting for your detail.

Why earthworks and civil businesses lose tenders they should win

Civil buyers are managing risk to the public and to their own assets, so their scoring reflects it. Methodology at 10 to 20% needs to describe how you will set up the site, sequence bulk and detailed earthworks, manage imported and spoil material, achieve compaction and testing requirements, and coordinate around live services. Bidders who describe their equipment instead of their method lose marks, even with the better fleet.

Relevant experience at 15 to 30% has to match the work type. Subdivision civil, road rehabilitation, drainage upgrades, carpark construction and sportsfield earthworks are different jobs to an evaluator. Give contract value, scope, the client and the outcome. Capability and key personnel at 10 to 25% covers your project manager, site supervisor, plant operators with relevant tickets, and a plant schedule showing what you own and what you hire.

WHS in civil work can carry up to 20%, and evaluators expect excavation and trenching controls, working near live services and Dial Before You Dig procedures, plant and pedestrian separation, traffic management and public safety. Environment and sustainability at 5 to 10% means sediment and erosion control, dust and noise, waterway protection, contaminated soil handling and spoil reuse. Local economic benefit at 5 to 10% rewards local quarries, local subcontractors and local operators, which most civil contractors can claim genuinely and then forget to mention.
